Hey guys I came across a quote in a book today and thought that it would be a great word of encouragement! Alister Mcgrath in his book Knowing Christ says this about jobs: “It is important to be distrustful of human estimations of careers and situations. What matters from God’s perspective is not the status of our position, but the opportunities it brings for service and proclamation of the gospel”
My encouragement to you is no matter what job you have, whether it is CEO of a corporation or fry cook at McDonalds use your position to bring glory to God in all you do! It is really easy for us to look at our jobs and think they suck but we have to realize our unique opportunities to influence others with the love of Christ!
This coming work week approach your job with a new perspective. Do not look at your position with an earthly perspective but try and see the eternal opportunities that God has placed right in front of you!
